Silicone Rubber Combined with Fillers

Shin-Etsu's EMI Thermal Pads are made of silicone rubber combined with fillers to enhance thermal performance and reduce high frequency noise.

The electromagnetic waves are absorbed by the pad and changed into heat. The generated heat is conducted through the pad to the heat sink.

They are available in single layer and composite layer types.

These pads are capable of conforming to irregular or complex surfaces and fill the gaps between heat generating components and heat sinks.

They are soft and naturally tacky so they bind tightly to the heat generating device and heat sink for efficient cooling.

They are used in applications including flat cables, LSI and printed circuit boards.
