Primer No. 23 is used for bonding silicone to metal.
- Primer No. 23 retains its ability to form a good bond for as long as 24 to 48 hours after application to the substrate, even at 90% relative humidity.Temperature and humidity should be stable during the drying period to prevent condensation on the substrate. It is preferable to bake the primed metals before the molding step if the primed metals must be shipped to a different site for molding. If this is not practical, a good bond is still possible without the baking step. The baking process is 10 - 15 minutes at 150 C.
