The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and facilities.

  • Troubleshoot and repair a broad range of production equipment. This includes extruders, mills, mixers, electric and lighting, etc.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.
  • Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Formal training is a plus.
  • 3 years' minimum industrial maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and HVAC is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and mechanical repair.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision on projects and daily work.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage your time in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. This includes being proactive in your approach to all issues in order to identify oreliminate potential problem areas.
  • Ability to take direction and carry out instructions from the supervisor in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Ability to lead by example and display a strong work ethic for others to follow.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups and be self-motivated in both settings.
Work Environment
  • This position operates in a variety of settings including an office, indoor manufacturing facility, warehouse, maintenance shop, and outdoors.
  • The role routinely uses a variety of power tools and hand tools.
Physical Demands
  • Stands, kneels, walks 3-9 hours/day.
  • Operates a Fork Lift.
  • Lifts up to 50lbs.
  • Performs twisting, bending, stooping motions.
  • Works in confined spaces.
  • Climbs ladders and works from heights.
