One Component RTV
RTV stands for Room Temperature Vulcanizing. RTV rubber changes from a liquid state to a solid (more elastic body) by a variety of curing methods.

Shin-Etsu Silicone’s electrical, electronic and general industrial use RTV rubber, in liquid or paste form, has been developed primarily for the gluing, sealing and potting of electrical and electronic equipment. As electrical and electronic equipment becomes smaller, lighter and more sophisticated, ever higher quality and performance is required of their structural components and materials.

Room-temperature / Condensation curing type.
- Advantages: Easy to handle, with no curing inhibitions. Heating and blending are unnecessary.
- Disadvantages: Deep curing is slow. Difficult to regulate cure speed.
Heat / Addition curing type.
- Advantages: Heat will accelerate curing. Excellent deep-curing characteristics.
- Disadvantages: Vulnerable to curing inhibitions. Must be stored at temperatures below 10º C.
